Are your business cards 'Electronic Ready'... or in a shoe box??

If you are active in your community and attend meetings as I do, opportunities to meet new people in various industries happen each week. Like me, you have likely collected hundreds and hundreds of business cards over the years.
As my business was growing, my weekly priorities and work flow also changed. Before I realized the numbers, hundreds of business cards had migrated from my desktop into a shoebox.
To recover potential business, I began a manual process of touching back and found... yes, new relationships and people who needed solutions offered by DeJaView Image Solutions.
Consultations with new clients about their holistic marketing strategies and disciplines revealed this situation was common in small business environments. As a result, our great products and services are not getting in front of the very people who need us! As you can realize, lost business opportunities is another end result of contact management discipline rescheduled to the side to... 'when I get the time'. Sound familiar?
Are your business cards stacked up on your desktop? in a drawer? in a box and out of site? Perhaps you organize and file them, but are your contacts 'electronic ready'? Transitioning information from a paper business card or medium into an electronic-ready format is a crucial marketing and business task that requires a daily, at the least, if not weekly discipline.
There are easy steps and solutions to find your thou$and$...
Solutions are at-the-ready... are you? Prepare now to reach people - share your products & services... you'll be happy to accomplish this sooner rather than later - trust me! Here's how...
1) Invest in a business card reader - scan - group - export your organized contacts to your Emal client and newsletter service.
2) Human resources are not available?- hire a CRM (Client/Customer Relationship Management) service.
3) Select a newsletter service such as Ace Of Sales, Constant Contact or Send Out Cards.
4) Set your 2012 newsletter topics schedule, today. Jot down all 12 months and decide what's important for your contacts to know early in the year ...
-what's new and exciting in your industry?
-do you have new offerings in your line of products and services?
-how did your business serve as a solution for someone else - what were the results - what was the story?
5) Design a brief, December newsletter and forward to your 'electronic ready' contacts by mid month; yes...THIS mid month! Even if it's only a few dozen contacts for your newsletter...that's a great start!
Not everyone on your contact list may have an immediate need for your offerings; but if they've expressed an interest, they'll be glad you've reached out to them. Consider they may likely share or forward to someone they know who CAN use your product or services.
